POINTS OF CONTACT

POINTS OF CONTACT was a joint exhibition by senior Creighton University Scheerer Fellows Callaghan Cavanaugh and Lily Svoboda. The Scheerer Fellowship is a competitive award recognizing academic excellence, artistic achievement, and a commitment to social justice through the visual arts.

Organized, curated, and installed by the artists, the show marked the culmination of Callaghan and Lily’s development as undergraduate art students, showcasing work from throughout their time at Creighton and highlighting the conceptual intersections between their distinct practices and the impact of the Scheerer program on their identities as artists. The exhibition emphasized their shared values and explored how their practices engage identity, community, and the transformative role of art.

POINTS OF CONTACT ran from April 4th to 25th, 2025 at the BFF Gallery in Omaha, NE, including an opening reception and artist talk with the Scheerer Scholars cohort.

Thank you to Amy Nelson and BFF Omaha for helping make this show a reality.
