Various Ornamentations

Ornamentation fascinates me because it can both blend in and set you apart. I tend to use it for the latter. To me, being authentic involves work and exploration that is both external as well as internal. This manifests in my artistic practice as I try to focus less on impressing others and more on pursuing concepts for their inherent fulfillment, challenge, or joy (an ongoing process). I think about ceramic vessels in this context too; they are empty, yet I invest time, effort, and energy into infusing them with a unique identity. Making ceramic jewelry has been a liberating way to explore this further.
